Grocelo β Terms of Service
Last updated: August 4, 2026
This page explains the terms that apply when you use the Grocelo app. By downloading and using Grocelo, you agree to these terms. For our privacy practices, see the Privacy Policy.
The service
Grocelo is a free iOS app for keeping shared grocery lists. On first launch, the app automatically creates an anonymous account for you; there is no sign-up screen or password. You may later choose to link your account to your Apple ID using Sign in with Apple β this is entirely optional and does not change your account identity or the data associated with it.
Shared lists
- You can share a list using an invite code generated by that list's owner. Entering the code joins the list as a member.
- Only the list owner manages membership (adding or removing members); a member may end their own membership and leave the list at any time.
- Products, notes, quantities, and other details you add to a shared list are visible to all members of that list. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you add and your decision to share it.
Acceptable use
When using Grocelo, you agree not to:
- Abuse the invite system for spam, harassment, or to gain unauthorized access to other people's lists,
- Add content that is illegal, harassing, or harmful to others,
- Act in a way that damages, overloads, or abuses the app or its Firebase infrastructure (e.g. automated/bot requests, exploiting security vulnerabilities).
If we determine that you have violated these rules, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to your account or the affected list.
In-app purchases (Grocelo Gold)
All of Grocelo's features are currently free. In the future, we may offer an optional "Grocelo Gold" subscription β with higher list/member/item limits and similar features β or comparable in-app purchases. If and when offered:
- Subscriptions may be monthly or yearly, renew automatically, and their price is shown clearly through the App Store before purchase.
- Payment is collected via your Apple account purchase confirmation; subscriptions are managed and cancelled from your Apple account settings β we never see or store your payment details.
- Cancelling before the end of the current period does not affect access for the rest of that period; partial refunds are subject to Apple's policies.
Limitation of liability
Grocelo is provided "as is." While we do our best, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that data will never be lost. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for data loss, downtime, or indirect damages arising from your use of the app is limited. Backing up any lists or data you consider important is your responsibility.
Termination
- You may leave at any time by deleting the app from your device; because your account is anonymous, nobody β including us β can access that account again afterward.
- If you want your server-side data fully deleted, you can write to egegirsen.dev@gmail.com.
- We may terminate your access if you violate the acceptable use rules above.
Changes
If we update these terms, we will keep this page current; the latest version is always published at this address. For significant changes, we try to notify you inside the app.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of TΓΌrkiye.
